Apple, No To Epic Games For Fortnite’s Return To Ios App Store

1 Mins read

No Apple to Epic Games for Fortnite’s return to the App Store. The colossus of Cupertino has in fact communicated to the developer that he will not accept the title until the company “will not agree to play according to the same rules of the others.”

The answer came as a result of Epic Games’ request to restore the developer account in such a way as to distribute Fortnite again on iOS in South Korea, where a bill was recently passed that obliges Apple and Google to accept systems

Apple, however, rejected the request and claims that it has no obligation to do so: “As we have always said, we would be happy to welcome Epic back on the App Store, but Epic must agree to play the same rules as others,” said a spokesman for the American

Even when the new Korean legislation comes into force, Apple is convinced that it will not make any changes to the process of approving developer accounts. Apple wants Epic to accept and respect the guidelines for the review of App Store apps: until it does so, it will not consider the request.

Fortnite was removed from the App Store in August 2020, after Epic had allowed the purchase of V-Bucks directly from the game, avoiding Apple’s internal payment system. At the beginning of the year, we had talked about a possible return of Fortnite to the App Store, but obviously there are still no conditions.
