Shortly after presenting the new iPad, Apple also announced an important update for the iPad Mini lineup. The most compact tablet of the line in fact re-fakes the look and embraces many new features, including the new placement of the Touch ID.
The most tangible modification of the tablet is represented by the design, consisting of thinner frames and the total absence of keys on the front body. Apple explained that this choice still allows you to keep it comfortably in one hand.
The screen is 8.3 inches, with anti-reflective coating and brightness of 500 nits. As we said above, however, the Touch ID was moved to the side-on button, just like the iPad Air.
At the technical data sheet level, Katie McDonald spoke of an increase in CPU performance of 40% and 80% of the GPU compared to the previous model, with the Neuroal Engine up to 2 times faster. The Lightning input for charging is also provided: as with the high-end models, the iPad Mini also embraces the USB-C, with all the advantages connected to it.
Apple will also offer 5G models of iPad Mini on the market, while as far as the photographic sector is concerned we find a rear lens 12 megapixels with focus and aperture f/1.8, Smart HDR, Flash True Tone The 12 megapixel front camera supports the Center Stage functionality.
Among the many new features introduced in the iPad Mini, we also find a new stereo speaker system. iPad Mini will be available at 499 Dollars, with orders that will start today and the availability scheduled for next week. Again, we find the new iPadOS 15.
Update at 21:00 14/09/2021: Tim Cook company has revealed the price of iPad mini for our country. The starting cost is set at 559 euros, while availability will start from 24 September 2021.
