During the keynote of September 14, Apple announced the new Apple Watch Series 7. Along with the watch, Apple also presented a new quick charger for Apple Watch Series 7, which will be sold separately.
The new charger for Apple Watch costs $29 in the US, which will probably translate into 29 euros in Europe. The product has a USB-C output and has been designed for Apple’s latest watch, but can also be used for other Cupertino smartwatch.
Limited to the Apple Watch Series 7 is the fast charging function, which guarantees a speed greater than 33% compared to a standard charger. According to Apple, the new connector can bring an Apple Watch 80% discharge battery within just 45 minutes. The company said: “We want to allow you to load your Apple Watch without any effort. You simply have to keep the dock near the back of the watch, where magnets will automatically put it in place for charging: the system does not provide for any contact and does not require precise alignments from users.”
Obviously, to allow rapid charging the Apple Watch Series 7 has a renewed internal battery architecture: for this same reason, charging the smartwatch of the previous lines will not improve using the new charger. The new Apple Watch, however, will be available in the fall: fortunately, Apple would have managed to improve Apple Watch Series 7 production, avoiding limited stocks to launch.
