How Do I Pay The Rai Fee In 2022? What’s New About Payments And Amount

1 Mins read

The beginning of the new year is approaching, and with it the payment of the Rai Canon is renewed. The tax on the possession of audiovisual equipment will in fact have to be paid again from January to October 2022, but how?

It seems certain that from 2023 the Rai Canon will disappear from the electricity bill, as provided for by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and by the commitments that the Dragons Government has taken with the Union Europe. Therefore, at least in 2022, the Rai Canon will continue to be charged on the electricity supply, except then to the system of “classic” bulletins from the following year.

As for the amount, however, it seems to be confirmed the 90 Euro. No increases or reductions are expected: we remind that following the integration in the electric bill the consideration to be paid has increased from 113,5 to 90 Euro.

At least for 2022, therefore, the requests for increase of the CEO of Rai, Carlo Fuortes, that during a hearing to the Senate had asked for a greater amount to allow the state TV to maintain the standards, have been voided. Fuortes also focused on the need to impose payment on smartphones, PCs and tablets, as they are able to access RAI programming even in streaming. We do not point to any new developments in this regard either.
