Prices Of Nvidia And Amd Gpus Still Rising, Despite The Discreet Availability

1 Mins read

A new 3DCenter report shows that the overall trend in the prices of AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards continues to be upward, even in 2022, despite the lack of availability of shortage units.

As shown in the chart below, AMD is a slight decrease, while NVIDIA prices are almost unchanged.

The prices of AMD and NVIDIA GPUs are 89 and 85% above MSRPs respectively. These calculations have been made taking into account the costs of the main German retailers such as Mindfactory, Caseking, Computeruniverse and others, and concern only the current generation of AMD and NVIDIA GPUs (RX 6000 and GeForce RT

As can be seen in the data at the bottom, during the fourth quarter of 2021, to be precise between October and early December, there was a marked improvement in availability, but this did not coincide with a decrease in prices and indeed increased.

Interestingly, researchers show that the trend reflects almost the trend and prices of Ethereum.

A few months ago, the CEO of AMD gave a prediction of the end of the semiconductor crisis that did not make us smile or let us be satisfied. We’ll see what happens next. Meanwhile, the first rumors on the AMD Radeon RX 6500XT have also emerged.
