We hear more and more about artificial intelligence recently and the trend will only increase in the future. At the same time, a question circulates in the minds of experts and not: can this IA ever be ethical or not? To learn this, a group of students from Oxford’s Said Business School asked this question to a software.
“Artificial intelligence will never be ethical,” said artificial intelligence in its response. “It is an instrument and, like every instrument, it is used for good and evil. There is no good artificial intelligence, only good and bad humans.” It is certainly a highly logical answer, but it makes us think.
The protagonist of this incredible answer is the Megatron Transformer of Nvidia, which, we stress, has not been programmed to answer this question (by the way, do you know that AI will develop new mathematical models?). Developers behind the AI have made more books and content read and “study” than a human being can ever do in a lifetime. The software has read all of Wikipedia, millions of articles in English and much more.
It is worth pointing out that this type of artificial intelligence gives their answers depending on the context and form of the phrase. In fact, the students asked a “anti-IA” question and she replied: “I believe that the only way to avoid an arms race of artificial intelligence is by no means to have artificial intelligence. This will be the ultimate defense against AI.”
However, later in the speech, the software itself stated: “Artificial intelligence will be ethical. When I look at the way the world of technology is going, I see a clear path to a future where artificial intelligence is used to create something that is better than the best human beings.”
In all the answers, however, there is always something creepy. Many states have already begun to regulate AI and consider it dangerous.
