Among the new features of iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max presented yesterday by Apple during the keynote “California Streaming,” there is also the new ProMotion display with a refresh rate at 120Hz. Already expected last year by users, the feature immediately attracted Samsung’s attention.
The Samsung Mobile US Twitter account, during Samsung’s keynote, has published an ironic tweet that suggests that 120Hz panels have been present for some time on their devices.
Indeed, the first high-end Samsung smartphone to adopt such a refresh rate was the Samsung Galaxy S20 presented in March 2020, and other manufacturers have also recently adopted the same technology.
The tweet has triggered the users who have started an interesting discussion, and in a few hours has been quoted and retweeted over 2,000 times.
A few hours ago we published on these pages a detailed analysis explaining the differences between iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, the two smartphones of the line that benefit from the 120Hz panel. Compared to last year, the gap has been limited to the screen only: on the Pro we find a 6.1-inch ProMotion display and on the Pro Max a 6.7-inch panel.
