We Are Already Talking About Apple Watch Series 8: Will You Be Able To Measure Your Fever?

1 Mins read

When less than a week is left before the presentation of Apple Watch Series 7, the first rumors about the eighth generation of smartwatch are circulating on the web, which the giant of Cupertino should present next year.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in 2022 with Apple Watch Series 8, the American company intends to include a sensor to measure body temperature and then detect fever. The feature is particularly useful in pandemic time, since a rise in body temperature is one of the first symptoms of Covid-19.

Apple would thus expand the list of health features in its smartwatch further, after introducing the sensor for the electrocardiogram, the measurement of saturation in the blood and the reminder to wash hands when you get home.

A few days ago on the web, there was a suspicion that Apple Watch Series 8 could also measure diabetes and it is no news that Apple has been working on it for some time. However, the methodologies currently available on the market are too invasive and it seems unlikely that a debut will be expected next year.

This morning, another report published by Kuo confirmed that Apple Watch 7 production problems have been solved.
