Zuckerberg Points To Metaverse With The Eye For Humanoid Robots

1 Mins read

It’s been several months since Mark Zuckerberg announced the Metaverse. Meta’s vision takes time, but it can’t be said that the company is holding hands. In fact, a project has emerged, not least.

According to the reports from Gizmodo and Business Insider, as well as how can be seen on the official portal of the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), in 2019 the company, which was then called Facebook (now Meta), had At the end of 2021, the patent was granted.

You can see some images at the bottom of the news: it refers to a robotic eye that refers to the human eye at the aesthetic level. Apparently, Mark Zuckerberg’s company seems to want to recreate different aspects typical of a human being, clearly visually: from pupil to iris. There is no lack of rotation mechanism and photographic sensors. In general, the intention seems to be to create a “convincing” robot, at least as far as the face is concerned. Such a project clearly falls within Metaverso’s vision.

In any case, be careful not to misunderstand: for the moment it is only a patent and therefore it is not clear whether Meta will use this technology in a real product. Moreover, it seems that the intent of society is to experiment in the field of eye tracking, which can then be useful for augmented and virtual reality.

It must be said that between the recent announcement of the glove for the Metaverse and the eye for humanoid robots, Mark Zuckerberg and his associates are giving us the opportunity to see Meta’s new vision (ex Facebook).
